The nursery D toddlers recently held an assembly

The nursery D toddlers recently held an assembly on the topic of House of Letters, where they spoke with fluency and confidence. Assemblies in schools play a significant role in helping students overcome stage fear and build their confidence to speak in front of an audience. Such events provide an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their skills and talents, leading to their overall development.

Bringing Hope and Joy Through Our Charity Show

Bodakdev School and Satellite School recently joined hands to organise a charitable show for children, which was a tremendous success. The show featured a Gujarati play titled ‘Mowgli Balloo Tanak Tum,’ directed by the highly acclaimed Kabir Thakore. The event was held at the prestigious Udgam school auditorium and drew a significant crowd of parents and students alike. The play itself was a visual delight, with its compelling storyline centred around Mowgli’s response to urbanisation. The play highlighted the stark differences between life in the forest and the city while promoting environmental conservation. The performance perfectly blended humour, drama, and emotions, leaving the audience spellbound. However, the show’s success was not limited to its artistic merits alone.

The organisers also had a noble cause in mind, as all the proceeds from selling 800 tickets were donated to Sri Satya Sai Heart Hospital. This hospital is recognised as India’s single largest paediatric medical centre and has provided hope and care to countless needy children. Thanks to the parent community’s overwhelming support, the event raised an impressive sum of Rs 80,000, which will go towards funding paediatric heart surgeries. The charitable initiative is a testament to the organisers’ commitment to positively impacting society and the school  community’s willingness to unite for a worthy cause. It is a heartwarming reminder of the power of collective action and the immense potential for good that exists when we work together towards a common goal.

Shishu RathYatra

Two of the most prominent preschools celebrated the joyous Shishu RathYatra. The festivities commenced at the Bodakdev School, where Executive Director Mr. Manan Choksi gallantly pulled the magnificent chariot, invoking blessings from the divine. The procession was met with great enthusiasm and warmth from the Satellite School for Children team, whose stunningly decorated campus was a sight to behold. The air was filled with the resounding chants of Lord Jai Ranchod and Makhan Chor, and the little ones from Bodakdev School put on a delightful skit, educating their peers about the significance of the CharDham in Hinduism and its deep-rooted connection to Lord Jagannath, the Lord of the Universe. The collaborative efforts of over 2000 students and 180 educators from both schools culminated in a resounding success, making it a truly memorable event.

Hour of Code Week

During Computer Science Week each December, the Hour of Code campaign provides coding activities that can be completed in an hour.

The goal of holding this event at #BodakdevSchool is to show toddlers that coding can be fun and exciting. By learning to code, young children can develop critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. In addition, preschoolers can learn the basic steps to becoming a coder through free apps such as Kodable or resources such as Code.org.

During the learning event, young children took part in coding challenges and learned how to solve problems in a variety of ways. They also received participation certificates and badges.

Teacher Meetings

We held parent-teacher meetings before Diwali to let parents know how their children are doing. Besides providing parents with a better understanding of their child’s learning journey, the meeting gave them a chance to learn how to handle curious preschoolers. In addition to learning about the challenges educators face and their children’s progress, parents also appreciated getting to know the teachers.
